Everything Seasoning

Combining fresh black pepper, dried ground rosemary, and Herbamare Herbed Sea Salt, my Everything Seasoning is an easy, scratch-made seasoning salt for everything grilled or roasted, especially lamb.

Everything seasoning in 3 parts

The Perfect “Everything” Seasoning

My mom created this herb salt seasoning. She brought it with her one visit and fixed me lamb chops. I loved it so much, it has been my go to seasoning ever since. At first I just used it on lamb, but discovered how amazing it is on everything. I had grown up using a local seasoning salt, but realized after studying the label, that their “natural” ingredients weren’t so natural. To my horror, it was loaded with MSG. No need to worry about added fillers or caking ingredients when you make your own seasoning. You will be hooked on this as well.

My favorite place to use this seasoning salt is with my Lollypop Lamb Chops served for Easter dinner. Additionally, I sprinkle it over my pot roast before searing it. That is not even mentioning how amazing it tastes with herb-roasted potatoes or veggies on the grill. This is a fantastic seasoning and one in which I am in control of the ingredients that go into it. So, I can feel good about sprinkling it on everything.

The Recipe

Fortunately, preparing your own seasoned salt is a great way to preserve rosemary from the garden. After the rosemary is harvested and cleaned, dry it thoroughly in the dehydrator. Remove the green parts from the woody stalk and blend into a powder. Store in a cool, dry place for use in Everything Seasoning.

This recipe is easy peasy to remember because it requires a 1:1:1 ratio of each ingredient. Add equal parts rosemary, fresh-ground black pepper, and Herbamare Herbed Sea Salt seasoning. Since the Herbamare comes in an 8 oz container, I just do 8 oz of each and have enough seasoning to last me a while.

Great with:
