I am really enJOYing these weekly chats. I love it when women get together to share recipes and fun ideas they are doing with their family. There is nothing like community. Unfortunately, it seems harder and harder to find our tribe these days. Hopefully, we can foster that community here, where you are always welcome at my table. Pour yourself a cup of cozy, put your feet up a while, and enJOY a visit. Remember to post any comments. I read every email personally and would love to hear from you.
Course I Just Completed: I just finished the most life-changing course: 30-Days to Your Future Self with Dr. Benjamin Hardy. It is totally free (which still blows my mind), and includes 30 days with a 10-15 minute video and a writing prompt. All I can say is WOW! Both my eldest children went through it, and brought their friends along for the journey with them. It is much easier to get an idea of who you want to become in the future and work your way backwards than it is to try and let your past keep defining you. “You did not choose the life you had. But you can choose the life you want.” Michael Hosea, Redeeming Love
Quote I am Pondering: “Don’t be afraid of death; be afraid of an unlived life. You don’t have to live forever; you just have to live.” Tuck Everlasting. I am a quote fanatic. A good quote can make you stop and think; pull you out of your normal conversation and start a new one. I want to live a full life and drink in every last drop of marrow…plus I love to help others do the same. Check out my post Fall In to dig in a little deeper.
Product I am enJOYing: As a mom with 6 kids, the drinking glass situation can be enough to send you over the edge. How many glasses does one child need in a day, really? After doing a little research, I found my solution. Hallelujah sister! Problem solved. Now, I am not one for clutter, especially on my kitchen counters, but these Stainless Steel 12 oz Tumblers, with color coded bands, are an answer to the “whose glass is whose” issue. They are unbreakable, dishwasher safe, stackable, and a great alternative to plastic cups. You don’t even have to use the colored bands if you don’t want to. We love them for smoothies because they keep your drinks cold. These Stainless Steel Drinking Strawsare the perfect reusable straw to go with them too.
What we are Eating: Spring is fast approaching and the cold, cozy days of winter will be a distant memory. Before they are gone, be sure and check out my post on Skillet Chicken & Biscuits. It is a new family favorite and oh, so cozy, comfort food.
How we are Playing: Do you ever have dance parties in your home? Well, we do in ours. I can’t honestly say that everyone participates, but over half of us can really get our groove on. One of my favorite dance, workout, cleaning house, or driving around songs is by Panic At the Disco, High Hopes. I just love the beat and the motivational message of hope. If you are unfamiliar with Panic At the Disco, he sang Into the Unknown at the end of Frozen II…another one of my favorite songs. So, why not have a dance party? We do it when we need to shift the atmosphere and get out of a funk or when we are just plain wanting to have a good laugh and some exercise.
Ways we Can Love: My hubby gave me the ULTIMATE surprise and purchased this DVD- Living Room Dancing:Show Her Off for a “just because” gift. He will be the first to admit that he has two left feet, and spends most of his time counting instead of smiling when it comes to dancing. With this program, we actually got somewhere. Most of all, we laughed and had so much fun. He even took the girls around for a spin. Children love to see their parents have fun and be in love. Ultimately, I loved watching him step into his confidence and bonus… I FINALLY got to dance. What a fun investment in us, and a guaranteed fun date night. Plus, what man doesn’t love showing off his woman (or his dance moves) at a wedding or party instead of sitting in a corner watching everyone else have fun?
Living Holistically: This one is a game changer. Do you want to know how to Eat Real, Organic Food without Breaking the Bank? Let me show you how with some practical tools and a whole lot of awareness. Who ever said you have to eat only beans & rice in order to save a few pennies? By implementing what I wrote about in this post, I was able to take my family to the mountains on the first family vacation we had had in years.
That’s it for this week. I would love your response and what lights you up…lets keep the conversation going!
Remember…
Rebecca
